Happy Thanksgiving Week!
Happy Thanksgiving week, my precious friends. I pray that as we head towards Thanksgiving Day here in America, you find your heart is overwhelmed by how much you have to be thankful for. I hope that today and every day this week finds you filled with joy as you take the time to truly give thanks for all that He has done. No matter how tough this year may have been, we still have so much to be thankful for. Our Lord is good, and He is faithful. May our hearts be filled with awe at His goodness to us.
Beloved, I pray that you take the time to truly focus on your blessings and thank Him for what He has done. Perhaps you will even take time to make a list of some of the many blessings that you have because of His mercy and grace. I hope that you start counting and never stop. Counting your blessings, gifts, and reasons to be thankful is truly life changing and I hope that it will become something you do not only today but every day.
Seed to remember: Intentional gratitude is life changing. Look for what you have to be grateful for, and you will be surprised at how much you have been blessed.
“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people in the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations” Psalm 100.
Dear heart, I urge you to take the time every day to be intentional about giving thanks to the Lord. We have much to be thankful for, but the truth is that life has a way of making us forget. We have to determine in our hearts that we are going to be mindful of all that God has done and is doing in our lives and give Him the praise He deserves. Our circumstances may not always feel good, but our God is good. He is good and He is worthy of our praise. Give thanks to the Lord with me today, my friend.
May you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving. – Katrina Douglas
